Romsey Abbey
Market Place looking west towards the Abbey. Built in the 1100s on the site of the Saxon church, the Norman abbey is visible wherever there is a clear line-of-sight within the town, a dominating presence.

Archaeology of Romsey Abbey
Romsey Abbey was surveyed using Ground Penetrating Radar in June 2020.

A ground-penetrating radar survey of Romsey Abbey was funded by Romsey Local History Society and conducted on 17th June 2019.
